Meeting With Mayor Littlefield
On Thursday, Jan. 31 from 5:30 PM til 7:00 PM, Mayor Ron Littlefield will be holding a meeting for District 9 Residents. It will take place in the Parkridge Hospital Community Room.
The Mayor's invitation reads: "As always, I look forward to meeting with you, answering your questions, and discussing progress we have made. My goal is to provide effective, responsive government and the best services possible."
Well, if he wants to be responsive, we have to give him something to respond to! So if you have a question for the Mayor about anything in our neighborhood, that would appropriately be addressed by city government, be sure to come out and take advantage of this opportunity to be heard. See you there!

Holiday Garbage Pickup
HP Neighbors,
Just a quick reminder that garbage will not be collected on our usual Monday schedule because the City is closed for the Martin Luther King holiday.
Garbage collection for Monday, Jan. 21 will instead be collected on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008.
Also, brush pickup for our area (Area 3) begins this week. Here are the City's guidelines for brush:
Brush and Refuse
What items can I put out for Brush collection?
Brush, twigs, shrubbery, tree trimmings, branches, and limbs may be stacked or placed in bundles at the curb and should not block the sidewalk or drainage ditches. Leaves can be bagged or raked to the curb for collection.
Grass Clippings must be bagged.
